Bangkapi close to downtown bangkok?

Ramkhamhaeng Road Soi 39 is not far from the expressway which goes to the airport about 15 to 20 minute drive and about the same to downtown if your take the expressway. Can be longer to down town during rush hours. The airport is maybe 25 to 30 km from Ramkhamhaeng not 60 km.
