HUSKY PUPPY QUESTION?

I have a siberian husky and when I first got her I just put a big bowl of food out and made sure I kept it full. She ate when she was hungry. I have heard that huskies don't eat as much as other dogs because their breed is used to going for long periods of time without food (sled pulling).
